    Description

    Ludwig Wittgenstein (1889-1951)

    Zettel

First edition. Published by Basil Blackwell in 1967. Edited by G. E. M. Anscombe and Georg Henrik von Wright. German text facing English translation. Good antiquarian condition. Cover slightly worn on the top edge. Cover dusty. Price unclipped. Internally clean, no handwritten marks or previous owner inscriptions.

Wittgenstein left a box of slips (Zettel) cut from copies of the very expensive typescripts which he also left, comprising work from 1929-48, thought mostly belonging to 1945-48. [––] Since they received such special attention and separate preservation, and make a distinctive contribution to his later thought, they are here presented in an arrangement according to subject matter.
